Anemic Dogs
Anemia is the condition of the presence of low amount of blood. Low amount of blood can be either due to the inability of the body to produce red blood cells or loss of blood due to any form of external or internal injury bleeding. Anemia may also be present in a dog while giving birth, poisoning or parasitic infestations like fleas, coccidian, intestinal worms or protozoa. The incapability of the body being unable to produce red blood cells can be caused due to the attack of viruses, chronic kidney disease, deficiency of iron, poor diet, presence of toxic substances and poisons that are present even in some veterinary drugs.
Anemia may also be caused due to poor nutrition and in post operational conditions due to heavy loss of blood. As a natural remedy you may offer your pet with liquid chlorophyll. It would work as an active blood builder and helps in quick recovery. Along with liquid chlorophyll you may also add few drops of liquid kelp or iodine to it. Kelp powder or trace minerals are also quite useful. Apart from kelp and trace minerals you may also feed your pet with blackstrap molasses containing iron and B-vitamins. Honey and bee products are good for recovering from anemia as well. Addition of cider vinegar in water or in the food of the pet would be effective for treating anemia.
Feeding your pet with digestive enzymes on a regular basis can help your dog to overcome the anemic condition.
