Dog Dental Care
If you think that you should expect bad breath from your pet since it is a dog, then you are absolutely incorrect. Dogs also need dental cleaning. Though you should not over do with brushing of dog’s teeth, but you must opt for dog dental check up at regular intervals.
You may lift the lip around the mouth of your dog to check the teeth. Try to reach the last tooth from the back. For lifting up the lip you need to be very careful. You may land up with your finger being nipped by the pet dog in case you are not cautious during the whole process.
If you take your dog to a vet physician, he would probably try to find out the incidence of Halitosis or bad breath, reluctant to chew, reddish or bleeding gums, increased rate of salivation, occurrence of tartar and missing or loosened teeth.
Do not brush the teeth of your dog with the tooth paste made for humans. Use toothpaste consisting of enzymatic components suitable for dogs. Brush the teeth of your dog at regular basis.
