Nutrition for Hyperactive Dogs
Hyperactivity in dogs characterizes of barking excessively, biting excitedly, spells of hysteria and such. The spells of hysteria are genetic in the breeds like the cocker spaniels. Sometimes they are victims of unpredictable or negative behaviors. As a remedy such dogs generally put under a training session to correct their behavior. But in most cases they are found to be inhumane in nature.
The reason behind the cause of the hyperactive dogs may be due to genetic traits, boredom or lack of exercise or any other stimulating factors. Vaccination may also be responsible for hyper active dogs. The following are some nutritional food items that you are recommended to provide to recover your dog from hyper activity.
- Serve your dog with preservative free and naturally home made diet food items along with dietary supplements.
- Reduce 10 % of the meat content from the usual diet and include more amounts of whole grains without the sugar content.
- Do not give your dog so often. If at all you want to then try not to give treats that consist of sugar and food preservative.
- Do not give food items that contain allergens. Avoid giving beefs, wheat, tuna, yeast, pork, wheat, corn, milk products and such. These foods can only be given to the dogs when they have recovered from their hyperactive nature.
- If not allergic to Turkey, your dog may be fed with it in order to calm him down. There are such food items like the wholegrain oats and barley which can be fed to your dog if not he is allergic to these items.
- You also try giving your dogs with hypoallergenic blends like the ones of lamb and rice.
